Generation 3: It's A Dry Heat

"I can't believe this is our new house..." "Well it was either this or the boat house, Lilly and this had room to expand. It was also the nicest out of all our choices."

"Besides, we didn't have a whole lot of money to start with. Mom and dad had a nice house but you know as well as I did that they made enough money to keep the house payed for and put food on the table."

"But why here, Pearl? Why this arid, sandy, freakin' hot desert!? We could have gone to Sunlit Tides or... Or even Sunset Valley! This heat is going to kill me... And don't you dare say, 'It's a drrryyy heeaat'." Lilly spoke her last words in a mocking tone.

Their house was a humble one but Pearl liked it. Lilly, however, did not.

"Hey Lilly, let's go out and see the sights huh? This place has lots to offer."

"Lots to offer? Yeah right- Wait! I remember hearing this place has a casino. Let's go there! Maybe it's air conditioned."

"They have a pool back there! Sweet!"

As the girls walked on to the casino floor, they looked around in wonder. "Wow... This place is cool..." Lilly sneered. "Sure is, they have working A/C and everything." Pearl frowned. "Lilly..."

The girls decided to try their luck at the slot machines. And while Lilly was the one with the Lucky trait, her good fortune seemed to rub off on Pearl.

"Yahoo!" Pearl not only won a big jackpot once, but twice! Leaving her with a little over 6,000 simoleons! That was unexpected.

After gathering up her coins, she went over to Lilly who wasn't having as much luck with her machine. "Come on Lilly, let's go while we're ahead, huh?"

"Oh come on, sis. Let's at least try our luck at Black Jack before we leave."

Pearl sighed. "Okay... But just for a little bit!"

The girls walked over to a table and began to play.

However neither one of them were having much luck at all. They decided to cut their losses and move on.

"Hmm, this is the wishing well... Lilly, what are you doing...?" "Wishing for some free coins."

"Lilly, that's horrible!" Lilly laughed. "Oh come on Pearl, who's going to know!? Besides, now I have a coin to wish with."

Pearl pulled out a guide book. "It says here that sometimes when you wish at the wishing well that your wish really will come true- Lilly!" "Ahaha! This tickles!" "What did you wish for!?" Lilly grinned. "Happiness!"

When she landed, she went over to Pearl with a stupid grin on her face. "Pearl, you should totally try this! It's great! Maybe you could wish for a boyfriend." "Umm... No thanks... Let's head home for now, I'm getting hungry."

"Pearl." Lilly stared down at her sister. "Hmm?" "We have no kitchen table. This place sucks. We've been reduced to eating rabbit food on an old sucky couch."

Pearl scowled at Lilly as she sat down. "Would you stop going on about the house! You could at least try to make the best of it!" Pearl finished up her food before standing up. "I'm going to go out for a little while and take a break from you!" "Yeah whatever!"

Pearl ran down to the local pool in hopes to cool off before bed. But it was there that she saw...

Jaycen Hendrix. He was like a dream to her and being new to the town, she knew nothing of his reputation.

She immediately plucked up the courage to say hello to him.

Within minutes of the conversation, Jaycen began to flirt with her. Pearl was all flustered and wanted to stay but it was getting late. So the two exchanged phone numbers before heading home.
