Best Thing Ever!

Lisa decided to try again at the whole birthday party thing when it was time for the twins to age up again. Nicolas and Zoe Durwood were the first to arrive.

If you're wondering who this... lovely creature is, it's Zoe Durwood. She's apparently Nicolas' wife. You know, Nick, you'd have a better chance at having some kids to go with that family oriented trait if you maybe, I don't know, married someone younger? But hey, whatever, I'm not here to judge (much).

That trait shined through though as he immediately picked up Lilly and began to play with her. D'awww, I'm sorry you weren't prettier, Nick. You would have made a great dad.

Finally as the party got under way, Emma showed up without her, now husband, Ajax. He never shows up for anything. Does she lock him in the house? Emma grumbled about Nick as he left the room to go play with the game console. Grade A Uncles and Aunts I tell you. Of course after he left, she did as well. I'm sorry your only nieces birthdays aren't exciting enough for you!

Anyway, Pearl aged up to be a real beauty. I can tell she's go a lot of her mom in her but I can see some of Kenneth too. And of course Homer's eyes... Pearl aged up to gain the Bookworm trait.

Next up was Lilly she looked as happy as she could be. I wonder why?

Maybe that's why. Uncle Nick came to celebrate with her! Way to play favorites, buddy.

You can tell the twins are a little different besides the hair. Lilly appears to have a wider jaw and her mothers nose while Pearl has a more slender jaw and her father's nose. And it could just be me but I swear Lilly's skin is a darker shade. Lilly aged up to gain the Mean Spirited trait. Oh boy... She's ending up more like Homer than I would have liked...

Most of the guests came to eat cake and it was a big happy moment.

The next day the girls had their first day of school to attend. So each girl prepared in different ways. Pearl decided to round up some bandits.

While Lilly went to go read a book.

Soon it was time for them to head off to school. "Hey Lilly, think the other kids at school will like us?" "I don't know but if anyone messes with me, their gonna get punched in the nose." Nice Lilly, real nice.

Lisa decided to get out of the house by bringing Ella on a walk. While enjoying their time out, Lisa got to thinking. "The kids are in school now and I have time to myself... Maybe I should think about getting a job. We are getting low on cash and I'm not feeling the whole 'starving artist' routine. You know what Ella? That's just what I'll do. I'll go down to the theater and see if they're hiring." "Arf! Arf!"

So after she brought Ella home, Lisa went down to the theater and joined the music career. She was ecstatic and quickly got home to tell Kenneth.

Meanwhile back at home, the girls had come home from school. Lilly immediately got started on her homework while... Pearl played on the rocking horse, again. She is in love with that thing.

After Lilly was done with her homework, she marched over to Pearl and let her Mean Spirited trait show. "Fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches are the best thing ever! Tell me otherwise, I dare ya!" "Okay, okay. They're the best thing ever... Geez."
