Rain Drops Keep Fallin' On My Head

After Pearl left the festival and went to bed, there was a strange noise outside. This.. being was walking up to the door.

Being a light sleeper, the noise woke her up. "Ugh, what now... If it's that raccoon again, I swear..."

The being was investigating a plant outside that she found to be terrifying for one reason or another.

Pearl hesitated upon seeing her. "Uhh..." An alien? I've seen werewolves, fairy's, zombies and vampires but an alien? I should tread carefully.

"Hi there..." The alien looked over at her and beamed. "Hello!" Her voice was high and almost metallic. "Umm... Would you like to come in?" Pearl wasn't sure what else to do. She didn't want to seem rude.

"So... You're from space right? What uh... What exactly are you doing here?"

"I am obtaining information! That is my function. I am sorry if I woke you from your stasis." Pearl shook her head, a bit amused with how she spoke. "No, that's okay. I had thought you were a raccoon. It keeps tipping over my trash can."

"Ah yes! The small mammal that has a fondness for objects with a potent stench! I have seen those at many shelters." Pearl laughed. "We call these homes or houses." "Fascinating!" Pearl and the alien spoke for awhile before it was time for the alien to leave.

Pearl watched out the window as the alien teleported in to her spaceship.

She then took off in to the early morning darkness.

The next morning after Lilly went to work, something even stranger than aliens happened. It began to rain.

Apparently the newspaper girl was expecting this as she was prepared with an umbrella.

Pearl didn't seem to care or really notice as she was focused on teaching Alexander his skills.

Lilly came barging in to the room when she was done with work. "Pearl! It's raining!" "Mhm, I could hear it on the roof."

"No, Pearl, you're not getting it. It's raining. It never rains. Ever. It's always sunny. Somethings up I'm telling you."

"I'm going to devote my research time at work in to finding out why we suddenly have weather!" Pearl looked away from her sister and kept quiet. She didn't think telling her about the alien would be the best of ideas. Perhaps the alien had brought weather with it?

A few days later, Lilly let out an irritated sigh. "It's raining again!" "Yeah, it's really coming down." "But it's Leisure day! We're supposed to be out relaxing and playing in the sun!"

"We can always go out another day, Lilly." "But it's Leisure day!"

Ignoring Lilly, Pearl got to finishing Alex's skills. While she was teaching him to talk, she realized just how much he looked like Jaycen. This scared her. What if he turned in to someone like Jaycen? Breaking hearts and killing dreams with his good looks and smile. Pearl couldn't risk it. She decided Jaycen wouldn't be invited over any more. She couldn't risk having that influence around her son.

At the end of the day, Pearl decided to relax and have fun by splashing around in a puddle. After all, it was Leisure day so she was entitled to some fun.

The following day was Alexander's birthday. Pearl decided that it would just be them celebrating.

Alexander aged up to have the Adventurous trait.

To celebrate and to make up for Lilly's lack of a nice Leisure day, the whole family packed in to the car and drove down to the beach.

While Lilly interchanged between talking and arguing with Alexander, Pearl decided to get her feet wet.

Ahh, this was the life. Sunny day, relaxing waves, the sound of birds. So nice.

While Lilly went to go join Pearl, Alexander thought his time was better spent ruling over the kingdom of table.

As the sun began to set, Pearl brought the family down to the festival grounds where she played horse shoes with Alex.

Neither of them were doing so well but it's all in good fun, right?

"Pearl! Peeaarl! How do you stop!?" Lilly was having a hard time on the roller rink.

While they were playing, a zombie appeared behind Alex. This would be a great time to wrap it up and go home.

But no. Snow cones were needed.

Taste the rainbow.

Lilly decided to get her dinner a different way by entering an eating contest with that old guy, a zombie, and a cute werewolf. Right.

Meanwhile Alexander was playing with the soccer goal. Good shot!

The old guy was the winner but the other contestants kept going.

The werewolf wasn't doing so hot and even though the zombie lost, he looked so happy. Maybe it was a nice change from brains and plant matter.

Pearl was practicing spins and while she was going around and around, she spotted the cute werewolf and decided to go say hi.

With one look at each other, they instantly found their selves attracted to one another. "Hi there... My name's Pearl."

He gave her a toothy grin with his silly face paint on and in a deep rough voice said, "My names Sahan. Pleasure to meet you."

While Pearl was chatting it up with Mr. Cute Werewolf, it began to hail. Okay NOW it's time to go home.
